Job summary

RTX A/S in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to plan and carry out mechanical design, verification, and validation during development of new products. You will support technical questions to the engineering department on existing products and sales opportunities.

Responsibilities include feasibility studies, design coordination with suppliers, 3D/2D data maintenance, design release to production, and guidance to junior staff while reporting to the engineering manager.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with a major in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in designing mechanics in the telecommunication industry.

Responsibilities

• Feasibility study of ID and mechanical design.
• Carry out mechanical design or coordinate with the supplier.
• Generation and maintenance of 3D and 2D files.
• Plan and carry out mechanical verification and validation.
• Creation and maintenance of design documentation (Mechanical BOM, drawings, instructions, etc.).
• Release of design material for production.
• Support production (both onsite and offsite) on product-technical.
• Work as a project manager in development teams if appointed for a project.
• Support with technical input and feasibility study for PRS and new project opportunities, together with senior staff.
• Work closely and share information with teammates and other teams.
• Support younger staff in training within the technology and tools used.
