Job summary

Nexperia in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a high-tech R&D team developing cutting-edge solutions for semiconductor equipment. You will lead and influence motion control, thermal stability, and robustness across multidisciplinary groups in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for translating requirements into robust concepts, creating manufacturable designs, and performing FEM and thermal analyses to drive performance improvements and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of mechanical design experience in semiconductor, high-precision tech, robotics, or mechatronics.
• Proficiency with NX, SolidWorks, or Creo and applicable simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of precision engineering and design methodologies.
• Analytical, collaborative, and strong communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design high-precision modules and systems for semiconductor equipment.
• Translate system requirements into robust mechanical concepts and detailed designs.
• Develop, review, and support cost, mass, and accuracy-critical components.
• Perform FEM, thermal, vibration, and dynamics analyses to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with mechatronics, electronics, optics, and manufacturing engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement of design quality and development processes.
• Ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with standards.
