Job summary

Nexperia in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our high-tech R&D and engineering team. You will develop cutting-edge solutions for next-generation semiconductor equipment and lead mechanical concepts through to validated, manufacturable designs.

You will perform FEM, thermal, vibration and dynamics analyses to optimize system performance and cost. Collaboration with mechatronics, electronics and manufacturing is essential in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in semiconductor/high-precision tech.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD tools NX, SolidWorks, or Creo and with simulation software.
• Solid understanding of precision engineering principles and mechanical design methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to tackle complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Translate system requirements into robust mechanical concepts, designs and validated solutions.
• Perform complex analyses (FEM, thermal, vibration, dynamics) to ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate closely with mechatronics, electronics, optics, and manufacturing engineering.
• Drive continuous improvement in design quality, development processes and product performance.
• Ensure designs remain manufacturable, cost-effective and compliant with industry standards.
