Job summary

MIT Semiconductor Pte Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager / Engineering Manager to lead the development and continuous improvement of advanced semiconductor equipment, with a focus on sorter machines. You will guide design engineers from module design to full machine concepts and drive CIP initiatives.

The role emphasizes solving complex engineering challenges, delivering high-precision systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliability at customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong automation equipment design experience, preferably in semiconductors.
• Proven leadership of design teams and projects.
• High-precision, high-speed mechanical systems background.
• Proficient in CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of semiconductor packaging and assembly processes.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design engineers in the development of semiconductor equipment, from module design to full machine conceptualization
• Drive product innovation and continuous improvement (CIP) to enhance performance, extend product lifecycle, and improve cost competitiveness
• Oversee machine reliability, feasibility testing, and validation to ensure high precision and performance
• Partner with Technical Sales on specification review, costing, and solution evaluation
• Own and resolve technical issues across the product line, including field-related challenges
• Ensure machine performance at customer sites, including troubleshooting and optimization
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, DIVE)
