Job summary

Arc’teryx in Hong Kong is seeking a Materials Quality Specialist 2 to safeguard material quality for apparel and gear across Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners in our global supply chain. Based in Hong Kong, you will monitor quality protocols and engage with raw material suppliers to ensure performance and durability.

You will conduct Tier 1 and 2 site visits, support lab qualification and ongoing evaluations, train QC teams, and drive RMQ protocol adoption regionally, collaborating with our Vancouver

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in textiles or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in raw materials, textile manufacturing, and/or quality management.
• Strong knowledge of textile fibers, yarns, woven and knit constructions, finishing techniques, films/laminations, and dyeing processes.
• Strong knowledge of textile testing and standards (ASTM, AATCC, ISO, GB).
• Experience in supplier auditing and onsite inspections.
• Willingness to travel throughout Asia and internationally.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular Tier 1 (garment factory) and Tier 2 (material supplier) site visits to assess adherence to material quality protocols and identify risks.
• Support T1/T2 lab qualification, onboarding, accreditation, and ongoing evaluations.
• Perform on-site inspections for high-risk raw materials and escalated issues.
• Deliver onboarding and training to T1/T2 vendor teams on Arc’teryx quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Train and audit global QCs and T1/T2 inspectors for consistent quality execution across regions.
• Support global RMQ in issue resolution, containment, root cause investigation, and corrective actions.
• Ensure RMQ protocol adoption throughout the region with the RMQ team.
• Support regional data collection, document findings, and report to global Material Quality team.
• Build and manage QC file library in HK0.
