Job summary

Swire Hotels, a group of hotel brands including Upper House and EAST, seeks a Senior Marketing Executive to tell captivating stories across the media landscape. You will work with brands globally, coordinating with properties to bring new ideas to life and drive strategic communications across channels.

The role requires 4+ years in brand communications/PR, fluency in English and Chinese, and ability to travel to properties.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in brand communications/ PR/ content for a global brand or an agency.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
  • Experience working with compact corporate and regional teams, as well as communications, PR and event agencies.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities.
  • Regular travel to our properties.

Responsibilities

  • Represent our brands Upper House, EAST and Swire Hotels to amplify stories across PR, social media, influencers and our own digital platforms.
  • Manage PR, social agencies and influencer partners to ensure up-to-date, impactful and timely stories across channels, giving them strategic and on-brand direction to achieve our yearly goals for our brands, including important awards, thought leadership and executive interviews, and publicity in both consumer lifestyle as well as corporate channels across key target markets.
  • Ensure our content and media coverage are in line with our strategic direction and drive SHG brands’ worldwide exposure from local initiatives and brand stories.
  • Manage key brand campaigns and events from development to execution, including creative idea, production, overall logistics and post-campaign/event communication, collaborating with external partners and relevant team members throughout the process.
  • Lead and work closely with our properties’ MarCom leads to guide and consolidate our activities to maximize the publicity opportunities of our campaigns in different countries.

Job Overview

This role plays an important role in the Marketing team to tell captivating stories about our distinctive brands across the complex media and social landscape in ways that are innovative, creative and strategic. We create ways for audiences around the world to find out about and experience our brands even before stepping in, and we collaborate tightly with our properties to bring new creative ideas to life. Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

Report to the Assistant Director of Marketing – Brand & Communications

Represent our brands Upper House, EAST and Swire Hotels to amplify our stories across PR, social media, influencers and our own digital platforms

Manage our PR, social agencies and influencer partners to ensure up-to-date, impactful and timely stories across channels, giving them strategic and on-brand direction to achieve our yearly goals for our brands, including important awards, thought leadership and executive interviews, and publicity in both consumer lifestyle as well as corporate channels across key target markets.

Requirements
The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

Minimum 4 years of experience in brand communications/ PR/ content for a global brand or an agency with a strategic vision for how to maximize business results

Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin), with a flair for language and a sharp editorial eye

Experience working with compact corporate and regional teams, as well as communications, PR and event agencies

Experience in managing multiple stakeholders with different perspectives and priorities

Regular travel to our properties
