Job summary

Swire Hotels is seeking an experienced leader to drive global expansion through market research, feasibility analyses, and development support for new hotel opportunities and renovations. You will manage deal memos, pro-forma projections, and presentations for developers and internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Development, the role demands an international hospitality mindset, budgeting skills, and strong communication to advance strategic opportunities and grow our global portfolio.

Qualifications

• University degree or postgraduate diploma from a leading hospitality institution.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in hospitality research and analysis, ideally including 5 years in feasibility or development with international hotel groups.
• International mindset with an appetite for knowledge and current affairs; strong understanding of hospitality market dynamics.
• Ability to prepare and manage budgets.
• Resourceful, energetic and outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter, able to work effectively without supervision.
• Support-minded team-player with a sense of humour and a tireless desire to deliver results.
• Confident and engaging with strong public speaking skills.
• Goal-oriented and resourceful, with the ability to meet deadlines and the determination to bring deals to a successful close.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of pitch materials and proposals for potential developers, and support related presentations.
• Lead development support activities, including internal and ownership communication, for Swire Hotels’ global expansion efforts.
• Manage the preparation and review of deal memos, ensuring key commercial terms and approvals are documented.
• Prepare and present pro-forma financial projections and commercial analyses for potential hotel management and development opportunities.
• Manage site due diligence, market research and analyses for new hotel developments and the renovation of existing assets.
• Undertake benchmarking analyses of the existing portfolio and potential hotel management opportunities.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of key global hotel and real estate markets and identify suitable owners, developers and development partners.
• Build and maintain relationships with hotel owners, developers, investors, consultants and other industry contacts proactively.
• Work with the Central Support Office and hotel property teams to maintain a strong understanding of hotel operations and management development support needs.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Head of Development, this role supports Swire Hotels’ global expansion by leading development support activities and overseeing all aspects of market research and analysis for proposals relating to both new hotel developments and the renovation of existing assets.
