Job summary

Well Link Life Insurance Company Limited is seeking an experienced actuary to lead valuation work across RBC, IFRS17 and EV bases. You will collaborate with Finance, IT and external consultants to ensure accurate reporting and governance.

The role requires a graduate actuary with at least 8 years of actuarial experience and a recognized actuarial qualification. More experience may lead to Head of Valuation; strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Actuarial Science or related disciplines.
• At least 8 years actuarial experience.
• Qualified actuary.
• Experience and knowledge in RBC/IFRS17 is a plus.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Head of Valuation.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of actuarial professionals in RBC, IFRS17, EV bases.
• Support ALM, policyholder dividend declaration, Par fund management, business plan, experience study, regulatory filing, reinsurance.
• Coordinate with Finance / IT and other stakeholders.
• Improve the efficiency and streamline the actuarial process, including modeling and control processes.
• Ensure proper governance and controls to meet reporting needs.
• Provide on-job training, support and guidance to junior actuarial staffs.
• Handle other ad-hoc projects as needed.

Job description

To communicate with different parties (e.g. external consultants, internal stakeholders such as Finance / IT etc.)

To provide on-job training and coaching to other junior actuarial staffs

To improve the efficiency and streamline the current actuarial process, including Actuarial modeling, control process

Job Duties

• Work with a team of actuarial professional in the whole process in RBC, IFRS17, EV bases

• Coordinate with relevant parties including Finance / IT department and other stakeholders
• Improve the efficiency and streamline the current actuarial process, including the Actuarial modeling, control process

• Provide on-job training, support and guidance to junior actuarial staffs
• Other ad-hoc projects on needed basis

Knowledge / Experience

• Graduate of Actuarial Science or related disciplines
