EMPLOYEES RETRAINING BOARD (ERB) in Hong Kong is seeking experts to conduct and coordinate surveys on industry skills requirements and to prepare clear reports and presentations. You will integrate multi-source data to identify skills shortages and vocational gaps, and analyze labour market trends to support new curricula.

The role requires a university degree in economics, statistics, or related fields, with extensive experience in market research and data analysis, and strong bilingual

Qualificações

• A recognized university degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of professional work experience, at least 5 in market research and data analysis.
• Experience in market research and data analysis is a definite advantage.
• Familiarity with large-scale databases and statistical software preferred.
• Proficiency in AI tools, database operations, programming languages, and data visualization tools is a definite advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English; Putonghua an advantage.

• To conduct and coordinate surveys and researches on the competency and skills requirements of various industries, with a specific focus on emerging skills, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentation materials;
  
• to integrate and analyze multi-source data to systematically identify critical skills shortages in the labor market and pinpoint vocational training gaps; and
  
• to analyze labor market information and data, including trend forecasting and assessment, to provide a strategic basis for the organization to develop new curricula or optimize existing courses.

Major Responsibilities :

• To conduct and coordinate surveys and researches on the competency and skills requirements of various industries, with a specific focus on emerging skills, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentation materials;
  
• to integrate and analyze multi-source data to systematically identify critical skills shortages in the labor market and pinpoint vocational training gaps; and
  
• to analyze labor market information and data, including trend forecasting and assessment, to provide a strategic basis for the organization to develop new curricula or optimize existing courses.

Entry Requirements :

• A recognized university degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related disciplines.
  
• with a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, of which at least 5 years should be in roles related to market research and data analysis;
  
• prior experience in market research and data analysis a definite advantage.
  
• familiarity with large-scale databases and statistical software preferred;
  
• proficiency in AI tools, database operations, programming languages, and data visualization tools a definite advantage; and
  
• excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English as well as strong presentation skills. Proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
  
• Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as other related positions should suitable vacancies arise.
