Generali Life (Hong Kong) Limited seeks an experienced product strategist to own the strategy and portfolio positioning for life insurance products. You will translate objectives into a prioritized roadmap, define target segments, and shape value propositions while collaborating across customer, product, and distribution channels.
The role includes leading innovation efforts and partnering with Pricing and Product Development to align regulatory and go-to-market priorities.
Own the product strategy and portfolio positioning to support company objectives in customer, product, and distribution; translate into a prioritized, time bound product roadmap
Define target segments, value propositions, and whitespace opportunities (including digital and new partnerships)
Institutionalize competitor benchmarking, market trend monitoring, and customer needs discovery (existing and new customers). Convert insights into clear product theses and business cases
Lead the front end of innovation: from problem framing to concept design and proposition shaping; ensure customer journey ownership across functions for new launches
Partner with Pricing (as SME support) to align assumptions and commercial targets; guide Product Development on feature design, regulatory path, and go to market prioritization
Identify and assess opportunities with reinsurers, insurtechs, and wellness/health platforms; drive pilot designs and scale-up recommendations
Set success metrics for new launches; monitor post launch performance and propose enhancements or retirements to optimize the portfolio
Build a high performing strategy bench; coach the team, and foster collaboration with Pricing and Product teams to reduce “solo working”
Key Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in life insurance product strategy, product management, consulting, or actuarial/pricing with strategic remit
Strong grasp of actuarial concepts and financial levers (e.g., RBC/IFRS17 implications) with the ability to translate into market ready value propositions (Pricing SME support available)
Demonstrated track record leading cross functional initiatives and customer journey design
