Job summary

HR Plus is assisting a prominent public utility organization in Hong Kong to appoint a Senior Manager, Social Worker responsible for leading strategy and policy development for the Elderly Services division.

You will work with senior management to formulate comprehensive strategies and policies, oversee service operations and facilities, and build partnerships with local and international elderly service providers to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, healthcare, or related discipline preferred.
Minimum 12 years in elderly/family/community work, with ≥8 years in management.
Business acumen, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
Experience with self-financing services beneficial.
Familiar with social services delivery, cost control and budgeting.
Fluent English and Cantonese; strong written Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior management to formulate strategies, plans and policies for the Elderly Services division.
Devise and execute promotional plans and activities through mass media and social media.
Oversee operations of services and facilities, ensuring efficient resource use and target alignment.
Monitor service administration, team coordination, and system development for high-quality delivery.
Foster relationships with local and international elderly service providers and stakeholders.
Represent the SEWS in meetings, working groups and conferences as needed.
Undertake other duties to contribute to organizational goals.
