Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking an senior leader to oversee biobank and laboratory facilities, driving governance, operations and strategic collaborations. The role focuses on sustainable infrastructure supporting translational research, genomics and precision medicine with a strong partnership network.

The successful candidate will manage day-to-day lab operations, advance biospecimen and data governance, and lead revenue-generating initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in biobanking, core lab facilities or Life & Health Technology sectors.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of biobanking operations, regulatory and ethical frameworks, and QA.
• Proven capabilities in strategic planning, business development and partnerships.
• Established network across government, healthcare, academia and industry in HK/GB A or international markets.
• Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin with excellent communication skills.
• Lok Ma Chau office-based work required.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic plans for development, governance and operation of biobank and labs.
• Develop sustainable operating models for shared infrastructure supporting translational research.
• Lead partnerships with government agencies, hospitals, universities, industry and international bodies.
• Coordinate cross-boundary and international collaboration to attract programmes and investments.
• Oversee day-to-day management of laboratory infrastructure, equipment and compliance.
• Enhance governance for biospecimen and data management, consent, ethics, biosafety and QA.
• Lead business development, user acquisition and stakeholder engagement to boost utilization and revenue.
• Monitor trends in biobanking, genomics, cell therapies, digital health and translational medicine.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
