Job summary

Lenovo in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced UNIX/Linux systems engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise platform projects for government and enterprise customers. Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands-on enterprise UNIX/Linux system engineering experience.
• Experience with HKSAR Government departments or public sector projects preferred.
• RHCSA/RHCE or OCP in Oracle Linux System Administration preferred.
• Excellent command of English and Cantonese, written and spoken.
• HK Permanent Resident and able to undergo background checks and government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• UNIX/Linux Infrastructure Operations: administer, patch, tune, and troubleshoot enterprise Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux) and legacy UNIX (AIX).
• Government Compliance & Security Hardening: ensure containerized workloads and hosts meet government security guidelines and image-scan policies.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: configure clustering and backup strategies to achieve 99.99%+ availability for critical services.
• Incident & Problem Management: act as Level 3 escalation for complex system issues, perform RCA and durable fixes.
• Audit & Documentation: maintain architecture topologies, SOPs, and audit trails for frequent security assessments.
