Job summary

Don Nelson Technology Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Linux Administrator with strong DevOps expertise to support enterprise Linux infrastructure, container platforms, and cloud environments. Focus on high availability, security, and scalability across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include administering Linux environments, managing Kubernetes/OpenShift/Tanzu, and developing automation with Ansible.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of Linux system administration and cloud infra experience.
• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux expertise in physical and virtual environments.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu or similar orchestration platforms.
• Experience deploying and managing physical/virtual servers.
• Proficient in AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Automation skills using Ansible or equivalent tools.
• Shell, Python or Perl scripting proficiency.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Linux environments for 24x7 availability.
• Manage container platforms including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Tanzu.
• Provide L1–L3 infrastructure support for incidents.
• Perform server installations, upgrades, patching and hardening.
• Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency.
• Implement infrastructure automation with Ansible.
• Monitor performance and capacity, propose improvements.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, and performance issues.
• Manage VMware, AWS, and virtualized servers.
• Collaborate across teams to improve deployment processes.
• Contribute to disaster recovery testing and business continuity.
