Manpower Services (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support Global Markets, Equity Derivatives, Brokerage and Wealth Management units in Hong Kong. You will draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements, provide risk-based guidance, and partner with external counsel on regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB or equivalent, has 6+ years PQE in financial services, strong capital markets knowledge, and fluency in English and Mandarin.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification, with admission to practice law in Hong Kong.
• Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience gained in a leading law firm and/or an in-house legal function within the financial services sector.
• Proven experience supporting securities firms, brokerage businesses, asset managers, or other financial institutions; exposure to Chinese financial institutions is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of capital markets and financial products, including equities, derivatives, and wealth management products, as well as the relevant regulatory framework.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic and commercially minded legal advice to stakeholders across different business functions.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Candidates with prior team leadership or supervisory experience may be considered for a senior or team lead position, including responsibilities for mentoring junior team members and overseeing legal workflow.

Responsabilidades

• Provide timely, practical, and commercially focused legal support to the Global Markets, Equity Derivatives, Brokerage, and Wealth Management businesses.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad spectrum of legal agreements, transactional documents, and business contracts.
• Offer clear, risk-based legal guidance to support business initiatives and day-to-day operations.
• Partner with external legal counsel on complex matters, regulatory issues, and specialist legal advice where required.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to protect the firm's interests.
• Collaborate closely with business, compliance, risk management, and operations teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support the Head of Legal & Compliance on regulatory projects, policy reviews, corporate initiatives, and other ad hoc matters.
