Job summary

Hong Kong Life Insurance Limited is seeking a (Senior) IT Officer focused on network and system administration in Hong Kong. You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Lotus Notes, Hyper-V, VPN, and backup solutions while ensuring security and DR readiness.

You will support data centers and IT infrastructure, monitor networks, and maintain firewall and VPN access. The role requires at least 3 years’ experience, strong collaboration, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Windows Server administration and IT support.
• Solid experience of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy and Lotus Notes.
• Experience with Hyper-V, VM, Networking, Firewall and SAN.
• Experience with cybersecurity products (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, F5, SangFor, FortiAuthenticator).
• Experience in enterprise routing and switching solutions, like Cisco.
• Linux installation, configuration, and troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, AD, Group Policy and Lotus Notes.
• Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and data center connectivity.
• Apply monthly patches and perform routine maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide network and system monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Offer technical guidance for procurement and project work.
• Collaborate with team on IT security and DR planning.

(Senior) IT Officer (Network and System Administration)

Responsible for system administration of Lotus Notes, AD, SAN, Hyper-V, VM, MDM, VPN, and Backup

Responsible for providing network administration, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting for network access on data centers and IT infrastructure

Implementing system configurations with monitoring, DR, and backup solutions with IT policies with aspects of IT infrastructure

Carry out daily administration and monitoring of firewalls, routers, switches, SSLVPN, Internet connectivity, and desktop senior support

Apply system monthly patches and perform regular maintenance and upgrades

Provide technical advice as required for procurement or other projects

Perform other ad hoc task assigned

Requirements:

Graduate with a first-degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or relevant

Minimum 3 years' experience in Windows Server administration and IT support

Self-motivated, pro‑active and willing to learn

Solid experience of Windows Server platform, Active Directory, Group Policy, Lotus Notes, Hyper-V, VM, Networking, Firewall, and SAN

Solid experience in cybersecurity products, like Checkpoint, Palo‑Alto, F5, SangFor, FortiAuthenticator

Solid experience in managing enterprise routing and switching solutions, like Cisco

Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux platform would be advantage

A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem‑solving skills
