Job summary

Towngas is seeking an Information Security Specialist to lead day-to-day SOC operations and escalation points for the security team. The role requires hands-on IT security operation experience, with emphasis on threat hunting and both on-premise and cloud security solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a higher diploma or higher in cybersecurity/IT/CS, plus relevant certifications and fluency in English and Chinese. Reference CITD/DO/SISS/JDB01/26 may be required.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Cybersecurity/IT/CS or related discipline
• Strong hands-on experience may substitute for formal qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT security operation
• Hands-on administration and support experience in security solutions
• Certification in CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CCSK or CEH preferred
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)

Job description

Manage Day to Day SOC operations and act as the escalation point for SOC team.

Proactively identify hidden threats, attacker activities, and security weaknesses through threat hunting within enterprise.

Responsible for 2nd tier technical support for on premise and cloud security solutions.

Streamline and automate the security operation process to improve team efficiency.

Improve and optimize different security solutions.

Conduct regular vulnerability assessment on internal system, network and infrastructure.

Prepare report for management, audit and control purposes.

Assist in ensuring compliance to security standards and policies.

The Person:

Higher Diploma or above in Cybersecurity / Information Technology / Computer Science or related discipline

Strong relevant hands‑on experience may substitute for formal qualifications

Certification in any of the followings is preferred, i.e., CISSP, CISA, CCSP, CCSK, CEH; etc.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT security operation

Hands‑on administration and support experience in security solutions

Experience in Robotic Process Automation and BI reporting is an advantage

Strong problem solving and root cause analysis techniques

Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
