Job summary

Gough Recruitment (Hong Kong) Pty Limited is assisting a client with a Senior Safety Manager / Safety Manager role to lead site safety teams on landmark civil and infrastructure projects in Hong Kong.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or higher in safety, environmental science, or civil engineering, is a Registered Safety Officer and Auditor, and has 10–15 years’ construction safety experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial post with a Main Contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Registered Safety Officer (RSO) and Registered Safety Auditor (RSA) recognized by Labour Department.
• 10–15 years of construction safety experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role for a Main Contractor.
• Proven track record managing safety on large-scale civil/infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee HSE management systems compliant with ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Lead Safety Officers and Supervisors across major infrastructure sites.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and CAPA.
• Coordinate with Government Authorities, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Deliver safety trainings and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Prepare safety performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
