Job summary

Mannings in Hong Kong is seeking a senior Category Manager for Health Care to lead merchandising, pricing and category strategies across our 340-store network. You will collaborate with operations, supply chain, pharmacists and marketing to roll out customer-focused campaigns and drive profitability.

The role requires 7–10 years in category or key account management in FMCG, with strong strategic thinking, negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years proven category management, key account management or own brand management in FMCG industry.
• Health background experience an advantage
• Demonstrated strategic thinking skills
• Proven ability to influence with strong analytical skills
• Customer-focused, adaptable to change, and highly organised
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
• Extensive sourcing network within the industry
• Strong market awareness and acute commercial sense

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the merchandise, buying and pricing strategies for the designated category management teams.
• Assist Director to contribute to the formation of Company strategy and develop relevant tactics.
• Lead the team to implement the healthcare development plan to capitalize market opportunities
• Keep abreast of the retail environment and initiate appropriate decisions to maintain competitive advantage.
• Keep abreast of HK industry reform developments to capitalize business opportunities
• Generate sales by ensuring Mannings target customers are provided with desired products and services
• Establish and maintain a margin and pricing policy maximizing profits while delivering value
• Negotiate best terms with suppliers and build strong partnerships
• Perform stock management and SKU control to maximize availability and cash flow
• Collaborate with Ops, supply chain, pharmacist, and marketing to roll-out customer-focused merchandising activities
• Lead CRM strategies to improve loyalty and maximize promotion returns
• Develop and train subordinates and manage performance
• Foster open relationships within Merchandise and other Departments
