Job summary

Guotai Junan (Hong Kong) Limited seeks an experienced equity portfolio manager to oversee Greater China and global portfolios. You will conduct macro and bottom-up research, perform valuations, and construct and rebalance portfolios to generate alpha.

You will prepare investment commentaries and support client meetings and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in equity investing, strong communication and risk management skills, and fluent English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
• CFA designation or progress towards CFA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in equity investing and portfolio management.
• Solid fundamental research, financial analysis, valuation, and portfolio construction capabilities.
• Deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends and risk management.
• Strong communication, presentation, project management and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Manage Greater China and global equity portfolios in accordance with investment guidelines, client mandates and fund objectives.
• Conduct macro, industry and company-level fundamental research to identify investment opportunities and generate alpha.
• Perform security analysis, valuation modelling, portfolio construction, rebalancing and performance attribution.
• Monitor portfolio liquidity, cash flows and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare investment commentaries, client presentations and fund marketing materials.
• Participate in client meetings, roadshows, business development activities and product development initiatives.
