Job summary

Haitong International Management Services Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced fixed income trader to execute money market instruments, bonds, CDs, and repos per PM instructions. You will manage trade enquiries, pricing, trade confirmations and liaise with counterparties to ensure top-quality execution.

The role requires 3+ years of HK bond trading experience, familiarity with HK money markets, and strong Bloomberg skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of bond trading experience in the Hong Kong market.
• Experience with public mutual funds, asset management firms, or international financial institutions in fixed income trading is preferred.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong bond and money market trading processes, market conventions, trade confirmation, custody, clearing, and settlement arrangements.
• Sound knowledge of short-term bonds, money market instruments, repos, and cash/liquidity management.
• Strong counterparty communication, trade execution, and risk awareness skills.
• Proficient in Bloomberg and commonly used fixed income trading and market data systems.
• Fluent in English, Chinese, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Execute fixed income transactions, including money market instruments, bonds, CDs, and repos, per portfolio managers' instructions.
• Manage trade enquiries, pricing, execution, trade confirmations, and communication with counterparties for high-quality trade execution.
• Follow up on trade clearing, settlement, and exception handling; coordinate with custodians, operations, compliance, and other teams.
• Support daily cash positioning, liquidity management, and reinvestment/rollover of maturing assets for funds.
• Monitor interest rate markets, funding conditions, and credit market developments; provide trading support to portfolio managers.
