Job summary

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a senior finance professional to lead investment and financial management for large-scale projects. You will conduct pre-investment due diligence, build financial models and assess risks for HK infrastructure, BOT schemes, and acquisitions.

Applicants should have a Bachelor degree or higher in finance or accounting and 8+ years of experience, with HKICPA/CPA/ACCA/CFA preferred.

Job description

China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited (“the Company” or “China State Hong Kong”) started its construction business in Hong Kong in 1979. The Company engages in building construction and civil engineering works. China State Hong Kong is among the largest construction contractors in Hong Kong, and is approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the five major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Port Works”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting pre-investment financial due diligence for investment projects including HK infrastructure, BOT scheme, student apartments, as well as project acquisitions and mergers. Identify risks in accounting, liabilities, compliance, and potential operational aspects.
• Build financial models for investment projects, accurately calculate core indicators such as IRR and NPV, and produce financial analysis and risk assessment reports on investment feasibility.
• Support liaison work with banks for credit facilities and project financing, as well as guarantee compliance matters; optimise financing structure and control financing costs.
• Be responsible for the full-cycle post-investment financial management of invested projects, covering capital control, cash-flow monitoring, business analysis, and income review.
• Participate in M&A and financial integration of projects. Implement special tasks such as accounting consolidation, tax planning, and ledger management.

Recruitment Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above in finance, accounting, or related fields, with over 8 years of experience in investment and financial management in large-scale enterprises.
• Familiar with Hong Kong's fiscal and tax policies and the local bank financing system, and having practical financial management experience in infrastructure, real estate, BOT, and M&A projects.
• Conduct financial due diligence, model and calculate, and manage the post - investment project operation finances independently.
• HKICPA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA certificates is preferred.
