Job summary

Chief Group Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Head of Finance to lead financial operations, treasury and strategy. You will oversee budgeting, consolidation, reporting and SFC FRR compliance to support rapid group growth.

The role reports to the Group CFO, supervises a finance team, and collaborates with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives. Strong audit, securities experience and professional qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years solid experience in audit and securities/IBank; knowledge of OTC derivatives an advantage.
• Professional accounting qualifications (CPA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, SFC FRR rules and compliance requirements.

Job description

The Head of Finance role within a fast-growing securities firm requires expertise in accounting, finance and treasury to lead financial operations and strategy. This position involves overseeing financial planning, consolidation, reporting, and SFC FRR compliance to support the group's business growth. This role reports to the Group CFO

Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and standards.

Lead a team of around 10 to handle consolidation, financial reporting, managementreporting to support strategic decision-making.

Oversee the financial control function of Hong Kong and overseas entities for the globalization project of the Group.

Support regional and group finance reporting requirements.

Monitor treasury management and cash activities, including cash movement,liquidity and financial planning to support the company’s expansionMonitor daily liquid capital and review the monthly FRR of SFC licensed entities.

Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors.

Oversee cash flow management and optimizing financial performance.

Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance productivity and skills.

Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.

Collaborating with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives

Requirement:

At least 10 years solid experience in audit and securities/ibank and knowledge in OTC derivatives is definitely an advantage.

Degree Holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent certification.

Strong knowledge of accounting and reporting standards, SFC FRR rules, SFC compliance requirements

Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.

Strong sense of business acumen, analytical, communication and reporting skills;

Mature, agile and demonstrate a positive mindsetProficiency in computer literacy, ERP platforms, open-minded mindset in embracing AI, new-gen accounting and control system

Attention to details, well-organizedStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Chinese; Putonghua is essential
