Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Limited – Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Consultant to join the Finance team supporting internal finance and accounting systems. You will help clients enhance close processes, implement operating models, and drive automation and data mapping for improved reporting.

The role requires strong communication, client service orientation, and a background in IFRS 17/ICFR. Fluency in English plus Cantonese/Mandarin is preferred due to client interactions and cross-border

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline; professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit or finance, with Big4 or financial sector experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Finance function and financial reporting processes.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin is preferred.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations to clients on improvements to the financial statement close process and contribute to Target Operating Model design and delivery.
• Deliver controls and process uplift through rationalisation, improvement and automation.
• Perform data mapping and analysis to support finance process and controls improvements.
• Assist in developing automated accounting and financial reporting solutions for client needs.
• Support testing activities for finance systems (SIT/UAT/E2E) and assist with issue resolution and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-border teams and communicate effectively with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
