Job summary

EY is seeking a Finance Transformation Consultant in Hong Kong to help clients optimize finance operating models and implement ERP-enabled solutions. You will work within high-performing cross-functional teams on COA redesign, budgeting, forecasting, and robotics process automation to drive efficiency and governance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of project experience, with strong communication in English and Cantonese. Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably with leading consulting firms or internal project leadership.
• Proven project management experience in finance transformation and ERP projects.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with English and Cantonese fluency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in margin improvement and business transformation engagements in cross-industry sectors, preferably finance.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management.
• Build strong internal relationships within EY Consulting Services and with other services.
• Act as project manager or workstream leader to lead client projects.

The opportunity

As markets rapidly change and develop, finance functions must demonstrate real added value to their business. As a finance advisor, you’ll use your experience and knowledge to help deliver greater insight – delivering functional efficiencies as well as transforming the role of finance in our clients’ businesses. You’ll be developing innovative, sustainable ways to improve the management of people, processes and systems, working alongside other finance professionals in high-performing teams.

As a Finance Transformation Consultant, you will help clients optimize finance operating models, organizational structures, and core finance functions through technology-enabled solutions that enhance efficiency, governance, and business performance. You will support large-scale initiatives across COA redesign, ERP-enabled transformation and implementation, management reporting enhancement, and the modernization of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and robotics process.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in margin improvement and business transformation engagements in cross-industry sectors, preferably in finance and business operating models;
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client management;
• Build strong internal relationships within EY Consulting Services and with other services across the organization;
• Act as project manager or workstream leader to lead team on client projects;
• Participate in the career and performance development of the Performance Improvement service by serving as a career counselor, training new staff and providing timely and specific performance feedback.

Skills and attributes for success

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably with leading consulting or professional services firms or as internal project leader within an industry organization;
• Proven project management experience, preferably finance transformation, business process outsourcing, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and IT;
• Experience in ERP system implementation and finance transformation projects would be highly desirable;
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management and clients;
• Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and supervisory capabilities;
• Relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage, such as PMP, CIMA, CPA;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Holder of CICPA, ACCA, AICPA, APA Australia is an advantage
