Gfi World is seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to maintain Data Centre facilities and ensure continuous 24-hour operations. You will coordinate integration projects, advise on system architecture, and manage on-site services with the team.
The role requires a higher diploma or above in Building Services/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field, and at least five years in Data Centre or telecoms environments. Knowledge of IT hardware and AutoCAD is preferred.
The Role:
Responsible for Data Centre facility maintenance to ensure the smooth running of 24-hours operation
Coordinate Data Centre integration projects; work with construction team to provide professional advice, technical and critical data analysis related to the overall system facility architecture
Prepare, certify and approve method statement and working procedure
Provide facility management services including planned routine maintenances and ah-hoc emergency calls
Liaise with various parties such as contractors, engineers and technical staff for facility management services and fitting out project
Manage on-site services and supervise the performance of in-house technical staff
Develop and maintain strong inter-departmental relationship across multi-disciplinary functions to anticipate future Data Centre physical architectures, controls, automation and maintenance
The Person:
Higher Diploma or above in Building Services Engineering /Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering / Facilities Management or relevant disciplines
Minimum 5 years relevant experiences in E&M consultant/ construction field in Data Centre / Telecommunications industry
Solid experience in handling facility power and cooling related infrastructure systems for Data Centre or equivalent critical industrial automation and controls systems design
Strong understanding of IT stack integration and knowledge of IT hardware design and Data Centre is preferred
Holder of Registered Electrical Worker License Grade A or above will be an advantage
Good technical skills on E&M installation and maintenance services
Familiar with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
Independent, customer-oriented and with good communication skills
Occasional work in non-office hour for on-site projects
