Job summary

Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will train and coach a large team, supervise inventory and purchasing, and liaise with other departments to uphold hotel standards.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years in housekeeping within luxury hotels, including 3 years in a managerial position, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in Housekeeping in 4- or 5-star hotels.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures.
• Strong leadership ability, able to manage a large team.
• Excellent communication, training, delegation and controlling skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage the operation of Housekeeping including Laundry to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
• Handle all guest complaints and requests immediately and tactfully.
• Conduct counselling, training, disciplining and interviewing of staff to maintain staff performance.
• Inspect and offer solutions to problems of operation, system, manpower, policy and procedures to superior.
• Control & supervise all store requisition, inventory and purchase requests to ensure supplies are replenished within budget.
• Plan and supervise housekeeping maintenance, linen cleaning, carpet, marble & upholstery cleaning by daily inspection.
