Job summary

Gateway Hotel in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Operations Manager to lead and oversee the Housekeeping Department, ensuring top cleanliness and guest satisfaction across rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Engineering and other departments, manage manpower planning, training, budgeting, and cost controls, while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards and brand quality.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or above; certification in Housekeeping Management or Hotel Management preferred.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in hotel housekeeping operations with supervisory/managerial roles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of spoken English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operations and administration of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas meet brand and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments, and with outside contractors for seamless operations.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery promptly and professionally.
• Oversee manpower planning, scheduling, productivity, and attendance for efficiency.
• Drive colleague engagement and training to enhance service quality.
• Manage budgets, inventory, purchasing, and cost control to meet financial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and procedures.
