Job summary

Forvis Mazars in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Manager/Director to lead the Restructuring and Insolvency practice, directing complex engagements and delivering strategic solutions. You will oversee day-to-day activities, mentor staff and build client relationships across industries.

The role involves managing corporate liquidation, insolvency matters, investigations, and forensic accounting while ensuring compliance with deadlines and statutory requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency.
• Professional accounting qualification (HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, economics, finance or business-related subjects.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee day-to-day management of engagements such as corporate liquidation, bankruptcy, receivership, restructuring and reorganisation.
• Lead comprehensive investigations into the financial affairs of companies and individuals.
• Manage critical claims and queries from creditors and clients.
• Direct and oversee progress of engagements, including ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.
• Review and authorize reports/documents to the Court, the Official Receiver and other stakeholders.
• Coach team members and mentor them to develop advanced skills.
• Drive business and relationship development with current and potential clients.
