Job summary

Intact Lab Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our AI-focused team in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park. You will apply advanced machine learning and statistics to real-world insurance challenges, building models that inform pricing, risk, and customer insights.

You’ll collaborate with actuaries, data scientists, software engineers and designers across Canada and Hong Kong, shaping the AI roadmap and deploying production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline; MSc/PhD strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in predictive modeling, ML, and advanced statistics.
• Strong programming skills in Scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LightGBM, Pandas, NumPy.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What You Bring To The Table

• A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, AI, Computer Science). An MSc or PhD is a strong asset.
• Proven track record in predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced statistics to solve business challenges.
• Strong programming skills in Scikit-learn, Xgboost, Pytorch, Tensorflow, LightGBM, Pandas, Numpy.
• Unlimited curiosity, a passion for challenging the status quo, and the ability to tackle vaguely defined problems with a creative approach.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
