Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and build scalable data platforms for our Global Banking client in Hong Kong. You will own ETL pipelines, partner with regional and global teams, and enable analytics through robust data delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data or software engineering, strong Java development, and hands-on cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure). You will work in an Agile environment to deliver data-driven solutions.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development and enhancement of enterprise data platforms for our Global Banking client. This role will focus on designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics and reporting capabilities, and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and data integration pipelines.
• Develop and enhance data solutions using public cloud technologies.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
• Proven experience designing, building, and supporting ETL/data pipelines.
• Experience working with at least one public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
• Good understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data architecture concepts.
• Experience with analytics and reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-native data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting CRM or customer data platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Exposure to BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
