Job summary

Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Branch is seeking a Senior Officer in Custody Operations to manage daily settlement processes, client onboarding, and inquiries related to custody services. The role involves reconciliation, reporting, and contributing to system improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have banking or custody operations experience, strong analytical skills, and fluency in Chinese and English including Putonghua.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Business, Accounting or related discipline.
• Experience in banking or related area; custodian operations experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of QDII/QFII, stock connect/bond connect preferred.
• Good knowledge of securities market.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in Chinese and English; Putonghua is a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily custody operations including trade settlement and monitor processing cycles.
• Process account opening and client onboarding.
• Handle client inquiries related to custody services (cash movement, settlement, billing) and follow up on exceptions.
• Conduct daily reconciliation on client deposits, holdings and internal accounts.
• Prepare regular reports to clients and management.
• Participate in projects and system enhancements; conduct User Acceptance Testing.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as required.
