Job summary

ICBC (Asia) in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Manager to Manager, Credit Analyst to perform credit due diligence and fundamental analysis on borrowers and trading counterparties, with emphasis on banks and non-bank financial institutions.

You will evaluate deals and major credit terms, assess credit exposures on OTC, money market products and debt securities, and prepare credit opinions for credit approvers. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of credit risk management experience focusing on counterparty risk and FI risk.
• Solid knowledge of financial market derivative products and key risk factors.
• Strong financial fundamental analysis skills.
• HKICPA, ACCA, CFA, FRM certifications preferred.
• Excellent English and Chinese, including Putonghua, with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit due diligence and fundamental analysis on borrowers and trading counterparties, especially banks and non-bank FIs.
• Analyze deals and major credit terms including OTC, money market products and debt securities to assess credit exposures.
• Evaluate and challenge credit limit proposals and prepare credit opinions/recommendations to credit approvers.
• Ensure credit requests are assessed with respect to internal and external requirements including approvals within delegated authority.
• Participate in cross-department projects and provide guidance as a subject matter expert on credit risk issues.
