Job summary

OOCL is seeking a Deputy Manager, Container Vessel Network Planning in Hong Kong to drive network growth, assess market demand, and identify consortium partnerships and external collaborations. The role requires reviewing vessel deployment strategies and aligning them with global trade requirements.

You will liaise with partner lines to negotiate alliances, slot charters, and joint services, while addressing cross-functional concerns from Trade, Ops, Legal, and Fleet Management.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Shipping or Logistics or related disciplines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; Mandarin preferred.
• Proficient in PC applications and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify network growth opportunities by assessing market demand and potential collaborations.
• Review and optimize vessel deployment strategies to align with trade requirements.
• Liaise and negotiate with other shipping lines on alliances, consortiums, or joint services.
• Address concerns from Trade, Operations, Legal and Fleet Management from a network planning view.
• Conduct market research and analytical studies to support strategic planning.
• Monitor costs and risk exposure related to network operations and partnerships.
• Perform ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.
