Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is assisting a well known civil contractor in Hong Kong to recruit a Manager, Claims & Dispute Resolution. This role focuses on contract management, administration for construction projects, and managing claims and disputes with stakeholders.

The candidate will lead negotiation of complex claims, develop strategies, review records and cost data, and advise project teams on entitlements and risk mitigation throughout the project life-cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• MRICS/MHKIS/MCIArb or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction claims, delay analysis, dispute resolution, or commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, evaluation, substantiation, and negotiation of construction claims, including EOT and disruption claims.
• Develop robust claims strategies and prepare detailed submissions with contractual, programme, technical, and commercial evidence.
• Review project records, schedules, site docs and cost data to identify entitlement and support claim development.
• Assess financial impact of delays, disruptions, variations, and changed conditions; perform damages assessment.
• Provide strategic advice on claims avoidance, risk mitigation, and dispute management across the project lifecycle.
• Lead assessment and defence of incoming claims from subcontractors and consultants.
