Job summary

Huatai International Financial Holdings Company Limited is seeking a senior collateral management professional to lead a team of 3 FTE, oversee end-of-day and intraday margin calculations under ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA and CCP rulebooks, and ensure timely margin calls and collateral movements across counterparties.

The role requires extensive experience in banking operations with collateral management, deep OTC derivatives knowledge, strong risk controls, and fluent English and Chinese

Qualifications

• 10 years+ of experience in banking operations with a minimum of 2 years experience on Collateral Management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines.
• Solid product knowledge on OTC Derivatives, including front-to-back processing workflow.
• In-depth understanding of margin/collateral processes and collateral portfolio reconciliations.
• Ability to work on own initiative and communicate effectively.
• Organized and efficient with ability to multi-task.
• Advantageous to have knowledge of Cloudmargin, Clearstream, Euroclear and Calypso.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
• Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and perform end-of-day and intraday margin calculations under ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, CCP rules.
• Issue and respond to margin calls within deadlines; follow up on outstanding calls.
• Instruct collateral movements and confirm receipt/release with counterparties and custodians.
• Reconcile collateral positions and clear breaks before market open.
• Participate in NPA discussions as collateral management representative; integrate new processes.
• Supervise UAT margin models, workflow queues and reporting templates; sign off before go-live.
• Monitor uncollateralized exposures, failed delivery counts and segregation breaches; escalate breaches; prepare daily MI for senior management.
• Compile regulatory returns on collateral quality, concentration and re-hypothecation.
• Identify manual touch-points; lead to optimize end-to-end collateral processing.
