Job summary

China CITIC Bank International Limited is seeking an experienced Clearing Operations Support professional to ensure accurate processing of inward paper cheque verification and electronic clearing returns. The role involves handling CCASS/DCASS settlement, autopay related queries, and book transfers, with a focus on maintaining strict internal controls and timely responses to inquiries.

The candidate will mentor new staff, provide UAT support for enhancements, and work shifts from 2pm to 10pm,

Qualifications

• Secondary education or above.
• Minimum 5 year of relevant experience in clearing operations and settlement.
• Well understanding of clearing products and operations (e.g. cheque clearing, in house payment, autopay).
• Sound knowledge of CCASS or DCASS settlement is preferred.
• Familiar with regulatory requirements such as cheque clearing general practice.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Shift working time: 2pm-10pm daily (Mon-Fri).

Responsibilities

• Perform as a checker to ensure smooth processing of all clearing instruments including CCASS/DCASS settlement, paper cheque, autopay and departmental in-house payments.
• Handle enquiries and processing of autopay rejects, paper clearing and rate upload.
• Act as the key contact of business unit in processing of book transfer, fixed deposits opening and uplift.
• Provide user requirements and UAT support in various enhancement projects.
• Raise referrals for cheques / autopay transactions and follow up with Branches/BU.
• Perform signature and technical verification of cheques.
• Checking of all inward clearing critical reports.
• Perform callback of cheques to customers.
• Assist team head in establishing internal control and daily operation procedures.
• As mentor to provide new employees with sharing professional knowledge and expertise in the clearing field.
• Take up ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
