OKX's Trading Systems team is building mission-critical order, execution, and risk infrastructure that powers our global trading platform. We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of trading counter and core systems.

The role requires deep systems expertise, ownership, and a track record of delivering robust, high-performance software in Linux environments. You will mentor engineers, drive quality, and collaborate across global teams to raise engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building production C++ systems.
• Strong experience designing complex systems and architectural trade-offs.
• Proven knowledge of concurrency, networking, and Linux-based performance.
• Experience with distributed consistency, high availability, fault tolerance, or disaster recovery.
• Ownership mindset from problem to solution and validation.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills; proactive problem solver.
• Experience with automated tests, replay, or similar verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of high-performance C++ trading systems.
• Design reliable distributed systems with fault tolerance and disaster recovery.
• Own end-to-end work from proposals through deployment and validation.
• Solve low-level challenges in networking, memory, and performance.
• Drive architectural improvements and refactor monolithic designs.
• Build quality safeguards: automated tests, failure-injection, monitoring.
• Design experiments to validate architectural assumptions and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate across heterogeneous stacks and boundaries.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices across code understanding and reviews.
• Mentor engineers and share knowledge through docs and playbooks.
