Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) seeks a seasoned Business Analyst (IT) to lead IT projects for the Life insurance division. You will manage end-to-end processes, document extensively, track progress, and escalate issues as needed.

You will collaborate with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to perform requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation while monitoring milestones and key risks. Fluent English/Chinese is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Studies, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills; self-motivated and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and implement IT projects for Life insurance business.
• Manage end-to-end project processes, including documentation, progress tracking, status reporting, and escalation.
• Collaborate with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams on requirements, estimation, design, development, implementation, and testing.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

• Collaborate with users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to drive system requirement analysis, effort estimation, design, development, implementation, and testing
• Monitor project progress and communicate key milestones and issues to the project team
• Identify project dependencies and potential risks, taking proactive measures to resolve issues and mitigate risks
• Troubleshoot technical problems, propose solutions, and collaborate with developers or external parties to resolve complex issues
• Liaise and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Studies, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or in Application Development Prior experience with investment products or wealth management or sales process is advantageous
• Strong presentation, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Strong command of Chinese and English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Business Technology Manager
