Job summary

OneBullEx is seeking a Senior Batch Data Engineer to own the enterprise batch data warehouse on Alibaba Cloud. You will design, maintain and optimise batch pipelines (T-1) supporting dashboards, analytics and AI/ML services, with strict data quality and proactive monitoring.

You will collaborate in English and Chinese, build data layers (ODS, DWD, DWS, ADS), and drive end-to-end ownership across the platform with fast iteration and strong ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on with Alibaba Cloud data services: DataWorks, MaxCompute, DTS, Hologres, FC Functions, Data Agents.
• Advanced SQL and Python for data engineering, performance tuning and optimisation.
• Experience modelling multi-layer enterprise data structures (ODS, DWD, DWS, ADS).
• Fluent in English and Chinese, both spoken and written for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong ownership, high velocity and ability to deliver fast, iteratively.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable batch ETL/ELT pipelines on Alibaba Cloud DataWorks and MaxCompute.
• Develop enterprise data warehouse layers (ODS/DWD/DWS/ADS) using modular SQL/Python and AI tooling.
• Ingest, transform, and batch-process data across Lakehouse and DW architectures; ensure quality and performance.
• Integrate AI-assisted methods for coding, testing, and data validation; maintain documentation and tests.
• Own daily batch stability, scheduling, backfills, and collaborate bilingual with regional teams.
