Job summary

Xgate is seeking a data-focused professional in Hong Kong to manage daily data operations, design robust data pipelines, and collaborate with IT and marketing to deliver data-driven solutions. You will implement real-time and batch ETL processes, build APIs, and support CRM and loyalty platforms with scalable data lakes and dashboards.

The role requires strong SQL and Python/R skills, experience with BI tools, and the ability to communicate in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data warehouse, ETL, BI, Big data.
• Expert in data architecture, data modelling and design, data pipeline and data integration.
• Strong in SQL, Python or R.
• BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI experience.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese.

• Collaborate with IT and marketing teams to identify opportunities to manage data and provide solutions for various projects
• Put data algorithms to production, build APIs and incorporating into the company CRM & Loyalty platform
• Deliver the data lake to enable a flexible and effective platform for CRM, data science and analytics teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Systems, Software Engineering, IT or related discipline
• Demonstrated industry experience in Data warehouse, ETL, BI, Big data
• Expert in data architecture, data modelling and design, data pipeline and data integration
• Strong in SQL, Python/R
• Preferably experience of deploying and running ML algorithms in production; knowledge on ML model and algorithm is highly desirable
• BI knowledge and experience (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) is highly desirable
• Good presentation and communication skills; strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skill
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
