Job summary

ams-OSRAM Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Automation Engineering Lead to drive day-to-day technical work, set priorities, and guide engineers and assistants.

You will design robotic and cobot systems, AMR/AGV handling, and vision-guided applications while ensuring system capacity and performance meet throughput and OEE targets. Responsibilities include developing comprehensive automation specifications across mechanical, electrical, controls, HMI, and software, reviewing vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years in industrial automation and robotics.
• Strong project management and system integration capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical work of automation engineers and assistants; set priorities and assign tasks.
• Design and develop automation solutions including robotic/cobot systems, AMR/AGV handling, and vision-guided apps.
• Define system capacity, performance requirements, throughput and OEE targets for optimized productivity.
• Develop automation specs across mechanical, electrical, controls, HMI and software; review vendor designs.
• Lead end-to-end project execution, manage budgets, schedules, resources and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor selection, design, testing, installation and commissioning; ensure compliance.
