Job summary

CLSA is seeking a high-caliber leader to drive the custody business in Hong Kong, overseeing settlement, reconciliation and corporate action processes across global assets. You will establish robust procedures, manage key stakeholders and guide system-related implementations with vendors and internal teams.

The role requires a postgraduate qualification and a valid SFC custody license, with 8–10 years’ experience in global custody.

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualification in a related discipline.
Holding a relevant SFC license for custody services is required.
Preferably with 8–10 years of global custody experience.
Familiar with settlement systems: SWIFT, CMU, CCASS, Euroclear/Clearstream.
Experience leading a team in trade settlement and corporate action cycles.
Able to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication in Mandarin and English.

Responsibilities

Lead the setup of custody business and participate in strategic planning.
Develop and implement procedures manuals, workflows and controls for custody services.
Engage with sub-custodians, counterparties and internal departments to manage relationships.
Assist in system setup, implementation and testing with vendors and internal teams.
Oversee day-to-day settlement, reconciliation and corporate action operations.
