Job summary

Carta Law is hiring a Contract Solutions Lawyer for the APAC function to manage high-volume pre-M&A contracts for sophisticated investment funds and asset managers. You will negotiate terms, liaise with counterparties, and ensure playbooks are consistently applied across engagements.

You will mentor junior lawyers and paralegals while leveraging Carta's AI-backed tools to enhance contract review and execution. The role requires a Law Degree with 5+ PQE and cross-border practice capability.

Qualifications

Law degree and bar admission in APAC jurisdictions, the UK, US or Canada.
5+ PQE with independent negotiation of pre-M&A contracts (NDAs, NRLs, joinders, letters).
Ability to liaise with sophisticated investment funds and asset managers.
Proven track record balancing legal risk with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and execute high volumes of pre-M&A contracts and liaise with counterparties.
Serve as primary day-to-day contact for investment funds and asset managers.
Maintain and evolve client-specific contract playbooks for consistency.
Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals in a fast-paced environment.
Leverage AI-backed tools to review and improve contracts.
Manage full contract lifecycle from review to execution and logging.
