Job summary

Ambition is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer in Hong Kong to lead hands-on AI engineering while partnering with senior executives. You will build AI-powered tools and workflows, deploy agentic AI solutions, and drive production-grade AI products that inform executive decisions.

You will work with C-suite stakeholders to translate business challenges into scalable technology, create dashboards, and oversee the journey from PoC to production while promoting AI adoption across units.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI/ML, data, software, or solution engineering roles.
• Strong experience with LLMs, agentic AI, RAG and vector databases.
• Experience building APIs, backend services and data pipelines.
• Cloud expertise across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Proven production deployments and operating AI solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication.

We are partnering with one of the largest ship management services Hong Kong-based group whos is hiring AI Solutions Engineer reporting directly to the Group CEO office.

This is a unique role for someone who can combine hands-on AI engineering with strong stakeholder management to deliver practical AI solutions that drive executive decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building AI-powered applications, tools and workflows that solve real business problems
• Designing and deploying agentic AI solutions, RAG frameworks, intelligent automation and data pipelines
• Developing production-grade AI products rather than prototypes that never go live
• Working with C-suite stakeholders to translate ambiguous business challenges into scalable technology solutions
• Creating executive dashboards, decision-support tools and AI-enabled productivity solutions
• Managing the journey from proof-of-concept through to production deployment
• Driving AI adoption across multiple business units and functions

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or Solution Engineering
• Strong experience with LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, Vector Databases and AI application development
• Experience building APIs, backend services and data pipelines
• Cloud expertise across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience deploying and operating solutions in production environments
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and business leaders
• Track record of delivering tangible business outcomes rather than purely research-focused projects
