Senior AI-Optimized IT Engineer

Location: Hong Kong

My client seeks a seasoned Senior IT/Network Engineer eager to integrate AI-driven automation into scalable, secure, high-performance infrastructure for 200+ users across office and retail sites. You'll design replicable frameworks for expansion, optimize network speed/latency with emerging on-prem tools, and prioritize reliability, cybersecurity, while growing expertise in self-hosted AI agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise networks (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi) for 200+ users, exploring self-hosted AI agents (e.g., LocalAI) for real-time monitoring and auto-optimization.
• Build standardized infrastructure frameworks using on-prem tools for fast, reliable multi-location setups with reduced latency.
• Strengthen cybersecurity through AI-powered threat detection, firewall optimization, email security, and predictive monitoring.
• Diagnose performance issues, deploying AI agents (e.g., Observer AI) to proactively cut latency and boost responsiveness on Windows servers/Active Directory.
• Administer on-prem/virtual Microsoft Windows servers, domains, and hybrid environments with AI-assisted diagnostics.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years managing enterprise IT/networks for 200+ users.
• Strong skills in firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, Wi-Fi, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
