Job summary

KPMG (China and Hong Kong SAR) is seeking an experienced actuary to lead a specialist team focused on life insurance. You will oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, while working closely with partners and directors on key issues.

You will build and maintain client relationships, contribute to business development, and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality outputs and strong internal collaboration across regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of working experience in life insurance, either in consulting or corporate.
• Fellowship member of an internationally recognised actuarial professional body.
• Deep knowledge in finance/capital reporting, regulatory changes (e.g., RBI, IFRS), financial modelling, M&A due diligence, ERM or economic capital.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a specialist team to deliver high quality work within budget and time limits.
• Manage and monitor the scope, timelines, budget and resources of projects, handling multiple projects efficiently.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support business development initiatives with partners and directors.
