Job summary

KPMG China, acting through its Actuarial Advisory team in Hong Kong, welcomes fresh graduates to join as consultant trainees. The role involves supporting clients on accounting and regulatory requirements, assisting on transformation projects, and providing risk and capital management services.

You will engage in actuarial advisory tasks including appointed actuary work, modelling, product development and valuation, with opportunities to learn through a global network and actuarial examinations

Qualifications

• Final year student with a bachelor’s degree or above from a recognised university.
• Ideally majoring in Actuarial, Risk Management or Mathematics-related subjects.
• Fluency in both written and verbal English; Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Passionate, committed, and eager to success.
• Self-starters with good analytical and problem-solving skills, including coding (e.g. Python).

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients on accounting and regulatory requirements like IFRS 17, Hong Kong RBC, etc.
• Assisting on transformational and optimisation projects like balance sheet optimisation.
• Providing services on risk and capital management like EC, ALM review, capital restructuring, etc.
• Support insurance deal advisory services such as M&A, due diligence etc.
• Providing actuarial related advisory services, including appointed actuary service, actuarial modelling, product development, valuation, internal audit, etc.
• Delivering quality actuarial audit services, covering life insurance, general insurance and pensions.
