Job summary

The Bank of East Asia, Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Section Head of Credit Solutions within Wealth Management Operations. The role leads the Credit Solution Management Team to uphold a high-quality wealth management loan portfolio and stringent credit risk standards.

You will oversee credit proposal assessments, ensure policy compliance, and drive the LTV framework while collaborating with Private Banking and Credit Risk Management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in credit management, with exposure to Private Banking or Wealth Management.
• Solid experience in credit review, portfolio monitoring, collateral management, and lending risk assessment.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
• Sound knowledge of credit policies, procedures, and wealth management lending products.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

• Professional qualifications such as HKIB or equivalent will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Credit Solution Management Team to maintain a high-quality wealth management loan portfolio and strong credit risk standards.
• Oversee credit proposal assessments, ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit policies, standards, and risk appetite.
• Drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of wealth management credit policies, procedures, and operational manuals.
• Act as the policy owner of the Bank's Loan-to-Value (LTV) framework and oversee its implementation across the Bank.
• Partner closely with Private Banking, Credit Risk Management, and other stakeholders to structure credit solutions and enhance credit processes.
• Monitor the credit portfolio and market developments, identifying emerging risks and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a strong risk-aware and customer-focused culture.
• Support strategic projects, business initiatives, and transformation programs across the Wealth Management Division.
