Job summary

Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) seeks a Section Head to lead their Section and report to the CEO. You will drive business development, profitability, and delivery quality, while shaping staff development and succession planning. You will nurture client relationships, build strategic partnerships across international, Mainland, and local counterparts, oversee governance to the Board, and represent BTRi to external stakeholders, media, and the community.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in construction.
• Experience in leadership and strategic planning.
• Deep knowledge of R&D, standards, accreditation, testing.
• Proven project management with quality and timely delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Extensive networks with government bureaux/departments, academia, and industry.
• Academic and professional excellence with relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development initiatives, identify new market opportunities, and ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
• Monitor project delivery and quality management to ensure outputs meet standards and timelines.
• Lead staff teams, drive high performance through effective people management and development.
• Build strategic partnerships with international, Mainland, and local counterparts to foster collaboration.
• Oversee governance and reporting to the Board and CEO with updates on work plans and budgets.
• Represent BTRi externally, articulating vision and values to stakeholders, media, and community.
